Kārkhānā is an urdu word that comes into being by joining two persian words- Kār which means to work or to do and Khana meaning "House".

A conventional english translation would perhaps be 'Workshop' however, if you must refer to us in english we prefer, The House of Do.

Now, before you dismiss us as a bunch of directionless weirdos, allow us to make our case.

Karkhana was born out of a very primitive human need to do something. Our body, limbs and mind together form one fairly complex, yet delightfully cohesive unit that deserves to be used challenged. We wished to shun conventional ideas of productivity and instead sink ourselves chest deep into work that gives us pleasure and purpose.
